Would you be my Valentine's?

The moment you felt most loved

My girlfriends and I recently did a video clip about love. LOVE, is a powerful strong word. It comes in different forms and the way people receive or give varies individually. In the video, we share our thoughts of love and how we interpret love differently.

I did not manage to deliver the entire message because I was too camera-shy. Writing perhaps is my way to express my thoughts, so here am I writing and elaborating more about the moment when I felt most loved.

To me, mutual connected feelings make me feel loved. That feeling provides you the security which you know that person would never ever let you go no matter what. That affection without limitations allows you to be yourself, to show him your mistakes, your flaws, your weakness and still want to be with you and love you with all your worse parts.

To be the giver. When you are the reason he smiles.  You are capable to make him feel comfortable, stress-free when he is around you. You provide the love he needs, and you realize no one would ever replace you because you are his one and only happiness he ever wanted. Then you feel loved, because you know he would do the same for you to become your one and only. They said love is not about receiving, but sometimes giving as well. To be able to give love and support to him makes you feel loved too.

To inspire and grow together. When two people are together, they share their dreams and hopes. They want each other to be part of their life to get inspired and grow together along their journey. That’s usually the most challenging part as one could never catch up with another pace, and they start to draw apart. You feel loved when your partner are willing to accommodate with you to walk at the same pace, or even inspire you to do more, to do better in your life. He sees you in a way no one else would have, truly understand what you really want in life.

I’m lucky to have someone by my side right now. During the month of love, I wish you all to have a wonderful romantic night with your loved ones. Of course, to my special someone Happy Valentine’s Day and I love you WL.

To the single ladies and gentlemen, be patience true love will come.

St. Jerome's Laneway Music Festival marked my first party of 2015. Set against a striking CBD backdrop at Gardens by the Bay, an impressive line-up of live music acts from Australia, Singapore and around the world graced the three stages featuring a star-studded line-up, taking most of its bulk from the Australian one, with eccentric songstress St Vincent and indie's well-kept treasure Little Dragon among the top picks. Plus, there's American sweetheart BANKS, British post-punk five piece Eagulls, psychedelic rock band POND, American synthpop outfit Future Islands, rising Australian dead-pan artist Courtney Barnett,  Canadian indie rocker Mac DeMarco (and Agnes, his mum), Mercury-nominated FKA Twigs, bass-heavy rock duo Royal Blood, Scottish noisemaker Rustie and funk-soul music makers Jungle to look out for. And don't forget Australian folk act Angus and Julia Stone, as well as up-and-coming electronic producer Chet Faker.

Here are the Malaysia-Singapore represents and some festival junkies @ Laneway Festival Singapore.

Few things we learnt at Laneway Festival Singapore:
1. Bring your own mat / float. We ended up sitting on the raincoat they provided. I wonder why Malaysia's music festival has never provided that > <'''
2. Bring glowing sticks to have better photography moment.
3. Clean your own trashes because you don't want them to end up on your mat/whatever you are sitting on.

I'm now struggling to recover from the greatness of this alternative musical year-opener  that transpired over the weekend for the weeks to come.
What's next? Splendour Festival perhaps?

Chinese New Year looks

Coming to the end of Chinese New Year celebration, I'm feeling exhausted because of all the late night gambling and outings. Eyebags and dark circles are my best friends now T__T Not forget about the junk food I've been eating these 2 weeks. NO DISCIPLINE AT ALL!!! But all these make a joyous Chinese New Year isn't it? Apart from food and gamble, I personally love making a selection of outfits for the 15-days of CNY which literally meaning 15 looks. Maybe I've overdid it, but what's a better chance to turn a want into a need, as if I needed an excuse. :D

Below are some of the outfits shot I had my brother helped me took while I was in Sibu except the last collage.
#1 Pinkish girly look
Topshop turtleneck blouse // Sungei Wang boutique skirt // Zara pointy heels // 3.1 Phillip Lim bag

#2 Elegant romantic look
Top & over the knee skirt from Bangkok // Zara heels

#3 Feminine chic look
Zara top and heels // Miss Selfridge dress // Saint Laurent chain wallet // H&M necklace

#4 Casual look
Topshop knitted jumper // Jill.J pants // Prada bag

#5 Classy cool look
De Prinzessin top and skirt // Vivienne Westwood x Melissa flats // Givenchy clutch // Karen Walker shades

The core element of all these styles is femininity, so which is your favourite look?

Digital Fashion Week - Day 5

Bringing you all back to Digital Fashion Week dated 2014.
I was wearing another piece from our Malaysia local designer, Beverly.
Bev C dress// Camilla Skovgaard boots // Marc Jacobs necklace

Here are just me and some DFW Insiders hanging out between the shows.

Day 5 of DFW marked the finale showcases in Singapore. Guest designers Cristiano Burani from Italy and Fyodor Golan from London have well presented their Spring Summer collection. Christiano Burani’s SS15 gave an overall impression of casual sporty wear to chill by the beach. His effortless styling with gingham checks of the 60s, loose silhouettes of pencil skirts and midi dresses with see through fabrics and his essential summer accessories – flip flops and nylon backpacks have very much won my heart for the perfect summer looks.
Before Fyodor Golan’s show, I had my outfit changed. Outfit details breakdown:
Dude and The Duchess top and bottom // Topshop inner bralet

The closing show of Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman was definitely one to watch. The collection has embedded a strong youthful character with colour busting and digital prints and silhouettes. There were exaggerated full frocks in embellished plastic floral appliqués and short geometric dresses making it the highlight of the collection. Paired with every single outfit came digitally structured high platform shoes in multicolours, which I absolutely adored.
With the designers.
Thank you Digital Fashion Week Singapore team for such a wonderful experience. There are more upcoming posts of DFW in Bangkok, stay tune.
