Apart from the hype of ISETAN The Japan Store opening last month, there was something more than just eating and shopping. I took the opportunity to visit a trans-kyoto photography exhibition by Mika Ninagawa @ CUBE_1 (3th floor of ISETAN) too. Ninagawa is known for her vibrant and bright-coloured photographs, and has been accredited with numerous photography awards in Japan. Enter into the gallery and you will see her world of Kyoto which Ninagawai photographed colourful objects from temples, shrines, sakura to typical Japanese Geimaiko.

During the grand opening party, I was lucky to meet few of the key persons.
World top DJ Shuya Okino who were at the grand opening party playing some Kyoto jazz massive mixtape.
Met Yasumichi Morita who designed the interior of ISETAN The Japan Store's interior. I love love love every corner ISETAN now.

Last but not least, a picture with the one and only Mika Ninagawa. She is also the director of the organising committee for Tokyo Olympics 2020. Meeting her in person was truly amazing.
Make sure you don't miss her innovative and inspiring photography exhibition which is now taking place until 30 November 2016 at CUBE_1. For more information about CUBE_1 latest activity, you may visit here :)
